For the most accurate speed test results, Armstrong recommends being directly connected to your cable modem. Connections which rely on wireless may produce varying results. When testing on a laptop, connect your power cable. Finally, make sure you are not currently downloading anything, close any other programs that are using the internet and turn off any other computers that share your Internet connection.
