3.4.25 — The Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce presented Armstrong with a Beautification Award for renovating its new office space in the City of Connellsville. Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce Vice President Michael Edwards presented the award at the Chamber’s Annual Awards Banquet on February 25, 2025.
Armstrong's General Manager in Connellsville, John Thoma, accepted the award and commented on the 20-year search for the right space, saying, “There weren’t many positives that came from the pandemic, but it was during that period that we were able to acquire the property and build a beautiful new office.” He also talked about Armstrong's strong relationship with the community, adding, “This reinforces Armstrong’s long-term commitment to Connellsville. We’ve been here for 60 years, and Connellsville is where we began offering our Zoom Internet services.”
With nearly 40 employees based locally, Armstrong recognized the importance of remaining in Connellsville. This new location is more visible and accessible to customers and offers improved parking. This $1.5 million investment, completed using local contractors, helped sustain economic growth and showcase community pride.
In addition to the Chamber award, the achievement also received citations from the Pennsylvania Senate and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
