It seems like every cartoon character or kids show has their own holiday special now. From 'Phineas and Ferb' to 'A Dog With A Blog' (yes, there is a Disney show called A Dog With A Blog), you have plenty of specials to choose from these days. However, sometimes it just isn't the same. Even Ralphie is on 12 times in a row on Christmas these days.
I can fondly remember the days when waiting to see that special once-a-year airing of Charlie Brown's Christmas or Frosty the Snowman was a family event; Freshly popped popcorn, staying up a little later than normal and watching the show as a group. A family tradition.
