Armstrong has a long standing history of being involved in the community. That tradition still continues and I’ll bet that you can think of a few ways that Armstrong gets involved where you live. A couple of years ago we decided to focus on a specific need that affects all of our communities, hunger. That is when we developed the Breaking Bread program. Breaking Bread is Armstrong’s ongoing initiative to feed the hungry in the communities that we serve.
The Four-Pronged Approach
The Breaking Bread program is structured
by a four-pronged approach. The four prongs are meant to resemble a fork. They stand for the ways that we are committed to fighting hunger, though donations of food, volunteering time, donations of money, and raising awareness.
How can you help?
- Bring a non-perishable food item to one of our local offices.
- Volunteer your time at a local food bank or soup kitchen.
- Make a monetary donation to Breaking Bread.
- Participate in the various community activities that we host for Breaking Bread.
All of the donations that we receive get distributed to the many food banks and soup kitchens in our area. For a complete list or more information about the Breaking Bread program, check out
