Just this week we were discussing the great comic book and super hero movies that are coming to us every year. If you would have told me when I was 10 years old, "Hey, when you grow up you will have live action movies based on all of your favorite toys, cartoons and comic book characters!" I would have probably been pretty excited. I most likely would have not believed it, but would have been excited to think about the possibilities. Consider that in the 1980s the only things that were built around comics and cartoons on the big screen were Superman: The Movie and Masters of the Universe. While Superman is the standard all others comic movies try to meet, the He-Man movie is still considered quite the failure. However, it looked cool to a kid and brought us Courtney Cox. These days every comic book character you can think of has their own movie, as well as Transformers and G.I. Joe; two of the biggest two franchises from the 80s. While, I will admit that the first G.I. Joe movie was not what I dreamed it could be, the second installment looks to be more of what I wanted. With the additions of Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock and Bruce Willis as the original "Joe," I am ready to give this one a chance. This release is currently available on Armstrong On Demand. Now you know... and knowing is half the battle! G.I. Joe Retaliation
