I think we all remember fairy tales and stories from our youth. Recently our fond memories of these childhood favorites have been altered a bit. ABC's Once Upon A Time has proved that we enjoy seeing our favorite fairy tales slightly twisted. Updated versions of Snow White have hit the big screen and even Grimm's fairy tales were modernized as of late.
This week we get to see a "prequel" of sorts to the story that inspired the "most watched film of all time," as well as a very different take on Hansel and Gretel. The Disney blockbuster
Oz The Great and Powerful is available on
Armstrong On Demand and takes us back before Dorothy ever landed in Munchkinland. Starring James Franco as the title character, Oz takes us back to the magical dreamland that we all grew up with.
Also available is a less family friendly fairy tale;
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. Jeremy Renner and cast help us find out what happened after the kids escaped the gingerbread house. Let us know what you think about it... and how they kill the
witches.
