Over the years, we have seen Adobe Flash become a hassle for a user's online experience. Powering a high percentage of video content online, Flash supported graphics, videos, games and animations. Five years after Steve Jobs wrote a letter about his "Thoughts on Flash", it seems like we may finally say farewell.
Despite the excitement many users have for this removal, digital-video publishers are not showing this same emotion as their first reaction. Flash has been their default support for running ads due to the time consuming task of also creating a code base to go with it.
