Are you ready!? Thursday marked the opening game for the 2013 NFL season. Sunday marked the first full NFL Sunday. But to me, it isn't officially NFL season until the first (and second) Monday Night Football game hits the air. This first week is usually my big football weekend. College games are into the second week, NFL week 1 is here and the crisp fall air is starting to creep in. Perfect. Now, I will admit that a few weeks into the season and I am more concentrated on baseball playoffs. By the time the season is half over, I have probably lost interest in watching every game and am focused on hockey. Football is probably third (out of the major four professional sports) on my list, but it does signify a great time of year. Once football starts (college, pro or otherwise) you know that school is back in session, the weather is cooling off and a comforting season is upon us. Whether you play fantasy football, root for your favorite team or just enjoy the relaxing weekends watching the game, enjoy the "kick off" of fall.
