Trying to live the American dream on their own terms, Abel Morales, played by
Oscar Isaac, and Anna Morales, played by
Jessica Chastain run their own oil distribution business in New York City after purchasing it on Anna's father. Managing the business above board, Abel decides to be a front runner to compete for a $2.5 million prime property that would allow him to expand the business and become the largest oil distributor in New York.
Battling through different scare tactics brought on by major competitors, Abel tries to stay true to himself and fight back using whatever tools, including violence, to protect himself, the business and their family.
