Just last week another 80s toy and cartoon related film was announced. Jem and the Holograms. I have discussed here many times how much I enjoy 80s nostalgia especially when it comes to
toys,
live action remakes of cartoons and any other
pop culture from that time frame. This one falls a bit out of my wheelhouse.
Like many boys of the 80s who had little sisters, Jem was just a new type of Barbie to me. However, a lot of grown women in their 30s might disagree. I will admit there was a bit more action and adventure in the Jem world. However, was she popular enough to require a live action movie these days. This begs the question 'where does it stop?"
