This weekend, my whole family really enjoyed watching and quoting
Wreck-It Ralph (including calling each other diaper babies.) We went to see the Pixar soon-to-be-classic in the theater last fall and it was actually our first movie together as a foursome. With it being available from
Armstrong On Demand this past week, we decided to get it for the boys to watch again. Well, we ended up watching it four times over the three days we had it. (Many of the movies are available for up to 72 hours.)
With a great story and amazing graphics, it was easy for even the adults to watch again and again (unlike some other kids' movies.) As an 'adult' who grew up in the dawn of video games, it was fun to watch the references to old games and see all the characters interacting together. It even gave me the urge to download an old classic game on the Wii system; letting the boys play Street Fighter II. And of course, upon seeing a few of the characters who appeared in the movie, my youngest said "Hey, he is from Wreck It-Ralph."
With the whole family enjoying this movie like we have with our other favorites (including
How to Train Your Dragon and
Despciable Me,) it will surely be one we buy. Another great feature of
Armstrong On Demand; it is sort of a buffer for purchasing movies. Whether you buy DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, or digit copies, it is nice to know whether or not you are going to enjoy the movie enough to want to own it. With stacks of older un-watched movies cluttering our house, we are a bit more cautious of what we buy. Wreck-It Ralph has definitely made the cut.
