Hollywood seems to go through phases of what is popular, especially when it comes to the supernatural. From vampires to zombies to witches, there have been a lot of different takes on some of these classic monsters lately. However, there is the possibility of bringing them all together "Avengers" style.
Universal Studios originally made Dracula, Frankenstein and The Mummy household names when it came to horror movies. A
cnet article reports that Universal is set to relaunch many of its most popular characters including Drac and the Mummy, as well as Van Helsing and The Wolfman. The article even mentions the possibility of the series culminating in a mashup film with many of the characters coming together. Until then, I guess we will just have to settle for the original Monster Mashup, one of my favorite 80s classics, Monster Squad.
