The weeks leading up to Halloween are always great; plenty of horror movies are on TV. But, now that I have a couple little guys running around, we have to tone it down just a bit. That is why I really enjoy ABC Family's '13 Nights of Halloween.'
This weekend has some great selections, with family friendly scary movies in the evening and few for moms and dads after the kids fall asleep. Friday features a favorite of mine with
Beetlejuice, followed by
Poltergeist II. Saturday is stocked full with some great ones including both
Teen Wolf movies,
Teen Witch and
The Goonies (all favorites from my childhood.) The evening finishes up with both
Addams Family movies and
Hocus Pocus, then
The Craft. Sunday gives you a second chance to catch some of the same films, but also adds the
Scooby Doo live action movies,
Matilda and
Monster House. Honestly something for all ages.
