So, now that school is back and we are starting to force ourselves into a routine, don't forget to stay organized. Last week we talked about some of the
technology that is available to help busy families. One type in particular was the organization of your kids' artwork with Canvsly and Artkive. A new app takes the idea of a "digital refrigerator" a step further by adding voice over to the keepsakes. Also, relatives can reply to the posts with accolades for the budding artists and scholars.
Keepy may just be that app that wins this new tech war. Check it out and let us know what you think.
While the cute video (accompanied by standard "app demo video music") makes the service seem quick and easy, you have to remember that not only do you have to learn this for yourself, but to really get the full benefit you will have to train grandma and grandpa to use it as well. Good luck with that!
Personally, after trying Apple's Photostream for some photo, memory sharing with family, we made the leap and created our own personal social network with
Path. While we didn't use the app the way it was traditionally intended, the photo sharing, commenting and liking helps my siblings and I share our kids' school progress, sports updates, loose teeth and more with grandparents and each other. Making technology work for us, we now have a quick, private way to share whatever we want with those who care the most.
