I've mentioned many times that I am quite the fan of comic book super heroes. I enjoy seeing my favorite characters jump off the page and onto the big screen. Well, recently there has been more of our brightly colored heroes on the small screen. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has enjoyed a good following on a major broadcast network, taking a closer look behind the group that keeps the Avengers in line. Fox has been preparing the world for Gotham, a prequel series focusing on the early days of Gotham City with a young Bruce Wayne and young Jim Gordon. However, it was CW's Arrow that has let viewers enjoy two seasons of true straight-from-the-pages-of-a-comic-book action on TV. Better known as the Green Arrow from DC's Justice League family, Oliver Queen battled familiar villains and made friends with other familiar characters like Black Canary, The Huntress, Red Arrow and a guy named Barry Allen. Mid second season, a story developed that was all too familiar to comic book fans; including Central City, a lightning storm and a lab disaster. From within the same CW/DC Universe we get The Flash. Arrow's season 2 finale gave us a sneak peak at the Scarlett Speedster. But based on the trailer release just yesterday, The Flash will not disappoint. More page turning action that hasn't seen the small screen since the 60s and 80s with Batman, Hulk and Wonder Woman. (Smallville and Louis and Clark don't count in my eyes) Don't blink, you could miss the action. What do you think?
