Setting Up Custom DNS in the HomePass® App
By default, your Wi-Fi will be set to use Armstrong's DNS servers. However, if you'd like to set your Wi-Fi to a Custom DNS server, follow these steps:
iOS
- From the home screen, tap the menu icon at the bottom-left hand corner and go to the Adaptive WiFi tab.
- Open Advanced WiFi Settings.
- Tap Custom DNS.
- In the DNS fields, enter the desired DNS in the Primary and Secondary server fields respectively.
- Tap Done.
Android
- From the home screen, tap the menu icon at the top-left hand corner and then go to the Adaptive WiFi tab.
- Tap on the gear icon to bring up Advanced Settings.
- Tap DNS.
- Slide the toggle switch to Custom DNS.
- Select Primary DNS or Secondary DNS field.
- In the DNS fields, enter the desired DNS in the Primary and Secondary server fields respectively.
- Tap Done.
