Whether you’re traveling over the river and through the woods to celebrate the holidays, or you’re cozying up at home, use these top tips and tricks to help make your Armstrong Zoom and EXP technology work for you.

Zoom Highlights

  1. Quickly share your Wi-Fi password with guests using the Plume® app. Tap the Share icon next to the password you want to share and send via text, email or Airdrop.

  2. Schedule your Zoom Wi-Fi to disconnect after so long from specific devices. Bedtime, school night, guests overstaying their welcome? In the Plume app, simply select the device and tap Set Internet Freeze.

  3. Keep tabs on which devices are connected to your home Wi-Fi network and monitor how people are using them. On the Plume Home screen, select Menu and then Connected Devices.

  4. Set content access levels for new Wi-Fi connected devices and gadgets. Are your kids getting new tech? Set internet access level in the Plume app to “Kid Appropriate.” Other access levels include No Limits (default setting), Teenager Friendly = PG-13 content, and No Adult Content (blocks sensitive adult-only content). Set parental controls in each profile, by selecting Digital Wellbeing.

  5. Get real-time protection against cyberthreats with Zoom. Enable Ad Blocking, Advanced IoT Protection, and Threat Protection in your Plume app. Touch Menu and then Guard to select the security settings you wish.

  6. Get the most out of your new tech. The best new devices need the best internet. Armstrong’s fastest speed is available with Zoom Extreme. Connect multiple devices, stream 4K and HD video, and game all day, without worrying about data caps.

  7. Set an internet “timeout” for devices connected to your Wi-Fi. New technology is one of the most requested items on wish lists this year. But when you just need to unplug and enjoy the moment with your family and/or friends, take an internet timeout. The timeout can be set for 10-minute intervals. Select “Set Time Out” from the Home screen of your Plume app.

  8. Personalize your Wi-Fi according to your visitors. Set Wi-Fi access levels for regular users, guests, and acquaintances. Give full Home Wi-Fi access to people you trust, which will allow their connected devices to interact with all other connected devices on your network. Guests can assume Limited Wi-Fi Access, while an Internet Only Access can be granted to acquaintances.

  9. Use the Plume Sense™ feature to detect motion while you’re away. Receive alerts concerning activity in your home from motion sensing technology. Turn Sense™ on from the Plume home screen.

  10. Keep tabs on your home network, from anywhere. Check and manage internet use wherever you are, with the Plume app. Enable notifications for real-time network updates and run a speed test, even if you’re not home.
