How to Set Up Your Zoom Internet Email Address with an Email Program

Once you’re ready to start using your Zoom Internet email address, you can visit ArmstrongMyWire.com and click on Email, to access your email online. However, if you prefer to use a third-party email program (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, etc.) use the settings below to setup your Zoom Internet email address.

Zoom Internet Email Server Settings

  • Incoming Mail Server Name: imap.zoominternet.net
  • Incoming Mail Server Port Number: 993 with SSL on
  • Outgoing Mail Server Name: smtp.zoominternet.net
  • Outgoing Mail Server Port Number: 587 with TLS or STARTTLS on
  • Authentication: Type in your Armstrong username and password

Zoom Internet Email Port Numbers

Your email port is how email moves from one email server to another. To enhance security and better protect your email account, Armstrong will no longer support port 25 for the transmission of email. Click here to learn more.

IMAP vs. POP

IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) and POP (Post Office Protocol) are two different ways to get email in your email program. We recommend using IMAP for your Zoom Internet email address. If you check your email from multiple devices, POP can cause problems as it removes the mail from our server and delivers it to your device. When using IMAP, mail will remain on our server until you move or delete them with your device. With IMAP, the email changes you make on one device are reflected on your other devices.

If you’d still like to use POP, use these settings:

  • Incoming Mail Server Name: pop3.zoominternet.net
  • Incoming Mail Server Port Number: 995 with SSL ON
